1. Change armature circuit resistance speed regulation
All kinds of DC motors can adjust speed by changing the resistance of the armature circuit. When the load is fixed, the total resistance of the armature circuit increases and the motor speed decreases with the increase of the external resistance in series. The change of external resistance can be realized by switching contactor or master switch.
2. Change the armature voltage for speed regulation
By continuously changing the armature supply voltage, the DC motor can realize stepless speed regulation in a wide range. There are two ways to change the armature supply voltage. One is the speed control system powered by generator-motor unit, and the other is the speed control system powered by thyristor converter.
3. Change excitation current speed regulation
When the armature voltage is constant, changing the excitation current of the DC motor can also achieve speed regulation.
